Community Guidelines

A chat on Tochato is between two people, so the tone is set by the two of you. These guidelines describe what we expect from both.

Updated October 13, 2026

01Over 18, no exceptions

Everyone on Tochato must be 18 or older. Do not use the site if you are younger, and do not let someone younger use your session. If you believe you are talking to a minor, end the chat and report the profile.

02Talk to people the way you would in person

  • No insults, threats or pressure. "No" and silence both mean stop.
  • No hatred aimed at someone's race, nationality, religion, gender, body or disability.
  • Leaving a chat is always allowed. Nobody owes anyone a reason.

03Keep it legal and wanted

  • Do not show or send explicit material to someone who has not asked for it.
  • Nothing involving minors, violence, or anything unlawful where you or the other person live.
  • Do not ask for, or offer, meetings in exchange for money.

04No scams and no sales

  • Do not ask other users for money, gift cards, crypto or account details.
  • Do not promote other services, channels or products.
  • Do not pretend to be someone else, or to be Tochato staff.

05Leave other people's privacy alone

  • Do not screenshot, capture or repost a conversation without the other person's consent.
  • Do not pressure anyone for a full name, address, workplace or social accounts.
  • Do not share details about a third person who is not in the chat.

06Use the site as it was built

  • One person, one session. No bots, scripts or automated matching.
  • Do not try to get round a block or a suspension with a fresh session.
  • Do not abuse the Reward Center or the report tool.

07Reporting and consequences

You will find Block and Report in the menu on a person's profile. A report should say what happened and roughly when. Depending on what we find, the result ranges from a warning to a permanent closure. Serious matters may be passed to the authorities. If a report needs more explanation than the form allows, write to [email protected].

08The short version

Be the stranger you would be glad to be matched with. Say hello, be curious, take no for an answer, and leave people a little better off than you found them.
