Terms of Service

01Who can use Tochato

You must be 18 or older, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. The site may not be used where local law forbids services of this kind.

02What the service is

Tochato connects two people at a time for a conversation by video, voice or typed messages. You can be matched at random or choose someone from the list of people online. A call is between you and one other person. We make no promise about who you will be matched with or how a conversation will go.

03Guests and accounts

You can use the site as a guest. A guest session lives in the browser where it was created; if you clear that browser's data or change device, the session, the people you followed and any coins tied to it may be lost. Signing in is optional and is the way to keep those things. You are responsible for what happens under your session or account.

04How you agree to behave

• Follow the community guidelines.
• Do not harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate anyone.
• Do not capture, save or share another person's image, voice or messages without their consent.
• Do not use the site for advertising, selling, or collecting other people's data.
• Do not use bots, scripts or other automation, and do not interfere with how the site runs.
• Do not break the law.

05Free matches, the Reward Center and coins

Tochato is free to start. New visitors receive free matches, and further free matches can be claimed in the Reward Center at the top of the match screen several times a day. The amounts are set by us and can change. A match begins with free time; a call that continues past it is paid for in coins according to how long it lasts, and a notice appears in the call beforehand. New matches beyond the free ones are also paid for with coins bought on the site.

Coins have no cash value, work only on tochato.cam and cannot be transferred. Purchases are final except where the law gives you a right to a refund or where coins were charged for but not delivered; write to [email protected] in that case.

06Your content

You keep the rights to what you upload or send. You give us permission to store, display and transmit it as far as running the service requires. Do not upload anything you have no right to share.

07When we step in

We may limit, suspend or close a session or account that breaks these terms or the guidelines, or that puts other people at risk. Coins on an account closed for a serious breach may be forfeited.

08No guarantees

The service is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors, and we are not responsible for what other users say or do. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

09Ending and changing the agreement

You may stop using the site at any time and may ask us to delete your account. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. Questions go to [email protected].
