Most problems on Tochato come down to a browser permission, a weak connection or a session that was cleared. Find the heading that matches yours.

01The camera or microphone will not turn on

  • Look for the camera icon in the address bar and set both camera and microphone to Allow, then reload the page.
  • Close other apps or tabs that may be using the camera, such as a meeting app.
  • On a phone, check that the browser itself has camera and microphone permission in the system settings.
  • Try the phone's default browser if an in-app browser (the kind that opens inside a social app) refuses.

02The picture freezes or looks dark

  • Move closer to the router or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • Face a window or a lamp; a light behind you turns you into a silhouette.
  • Close downloads and video tabs that compete for bandwidth.

03You cannot hear the other person

  • Check the device volume and that the phone is not in silent mode.
  • Disconnect Bluetooth headphones you are not wearing.
  • Ask the other person, by typing, whether their microphone is switched on.

04A match is slow to arrive

Matching depends on who is available at that moment, so it can take longer at quiet hours. You can also open Who's online and start a conversation with a person from the list.

05Free matches and the Reward Center

New visitors start with free matches. The Reward Center is at the top of the match screen and lets you claim more several times a day. If a claim does not appear, reload the page and check again. The free chat rooms page explains the rest.

06Coins and payments

  • If coins have not arrived a few minutes after paying, reload the site first.
  • Still missing? Send the date, amount and payment method to [email protected], along with the receipt from the payment provider if you have one.
  • A match begins with free time. If a call continues past it, coins are used, and a notice appears in the call first.
  • What coins are for is covered on the coins page.

07Guest sessions and signing in

A guest session belongs to one browser. Clearing that browser's data, using a private window or switching device starts a new one, without the people you followed. Signing in keeps them.

08Blocking and reporting

Open the person's profile and use the menu there; Block and Report are both in it. Reporting asks for a reason and a short description. The safe chat rooms guide has more.

09Deleting your account

Write to [email protected] and ask for deletion. If you only ever used a guest session, say so and mention roughly when you last visited.

10Something else

The contact page lists what to include so that the first reply can deal with the problem.
